Whether your project employs a traditional design/bid/build model or is fast-tracked as a design/build project, pre-eng metal building packages from Armour Steel employ the same comprehensive, accredited design and structural analysis process.
It starts with a complete review of the building requirements and project goals with you, the owner, or with your architect and general contractor when it's a bid project. Even at this juncture, Armour personnel can offer suggestions to help lower cost or speed construction.
Next, a conceptual design and preliminary cost estimates are developed. These are presented for customer review and refinement, along with a preliminary schedule. When authorized to proceed to final design, Armour finishes the design, obtains commitments from subcontractors and completes the contract package. If it's a fast track design/build project, you may have us release early design info to get permitting/site prep started, while architectural design is being completed.

A functional, safe, code-compliant design is the outcome of the detailed design process. Your metal building is fully detailed and structurally analyzed, as a system, using your loading information and climate factors (wind/snow loading). All engineering follows industry standards published by the American Iron and Steel Institute, Factory Mutual and the MBMA. A registered professional engineer signs off on the final structural design.
After the design is released, customer changes or changes necessitated by site conditions may entail reanalysis of some aspects of the final design. These are conducted in the same thorough, accredited manner applied to the original design, and project drawings are updated to reflect 'as built' conditions. This gives you confidence that you are working with accurate information should you need to make building modifications in the future.
