Armour Steel Supply has been supplying structural steel and fabrications to Ontario builders for 45 years. That longevity results from a focus on quality – both in materials and workmanship – and a commitment to deliver on time. We teamed with Robertson Building Systems knowing the relationship would reinforce those customer-centered values.
When your building design is fully detailed and certified with the PE stamp, the materials list is released for fabrication. All structural components supplied to our customers are fabricated in an IAS AC472 accredited facility. This comprehensive accreditation program is based on the requirements of Chapter 17 of the International Building Code and provides code officials with a means to approve the inspection programs of manufacturers of metal building systems. AC472 addresses quality management system elements such as product traceability, process control, personnel requirements and various administrative and technical requirements of metal building fabricators.

Even though the building system envelope may be 'pre-engineered' there are still a hundred steel details to be managed. Things like stairs, rails and catwalks, non-structural wall panels, rooftop curbs and equipment bases. Other metal building design/build firms often leave these items to their subs and suppliers to worry about. Not so with Armour Steel. We keep a tight grip on these items, fabricating them in our in-house, CWB-certified weld shop and delivering them directly to the job site.
That matters when it's time to install or field-adapt these items. When other design/build companies call in their steel supplier or erector and start puzzling over prints, your Armour Steel project manager dispatches a knowledgeable fabricator who was involved in building the item in the first place. That saves time, avoids mistakes and carries the Armour promise of quality.
