Insulation Options
Armour Steel offers laminated blanket insulation with the longest rolls and thickest face in the industry. It's made with the
GBP Silvercote system and has an exceptional finished appearance.
For more traditional fiberglass insulation rolls, we can install using a
PurlinGlide FP system. Its easy, fast and works with both purlin and bar joist roofs of any size. The advantage of PurlinGlide FP is a consistent finish with no visible seams. In fact, total seams are reduced by up to 70%, which reduces the likelihood that condensation will occur.
When insulating for climate extremes,
Energy Saver FP is often the best choice. This system combines bright white fabric, a network of special straps and blanket insulation to achieve very high R values. It lays an uncompressed blanket layer parallel to the purlins, then a second layer perpen- dicular to the purlins, filling the space completely.

Armour Steel offers a wide array of roof systems – standing seam, seamed and through fastened – to meet a variety of design, climate and budget considerations. These roof systems are lightweight, energy efficient and nearly maintenance-free, made from coated, high-strength steel with a 25 year warranty against surface failure. Painted panels add a Silicone Polyester or Kynar 500® PVD coating (click for colour charts). The panels shown below are really only a sample of the many designs that we can apply to your project. This floating roof system is weather tight and energy efficient. Its 24" panels, made from 22 or 24 gauge steel, are attached to the roof structure with clips that permit movement caused by temperature variations, but eliminate the need for through-panel penetrations.
SSR panels
are machine-seamed together with a 360° Pittsburgh double lock. This not only assures weather-tightness, it earns the highest wind uplift rating (Class 90) from Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
.
This mechanically field-seamed high strength system uses either 12" or 16" width panels that can be installed directly over purlins or bar joists using a concealed fastening system for fixed or floating configuration. Panels are a available in 22 or 24 gauge steel and smooth stirated or embossed stirated surface finishes.
The seams 2" vertical leg imparts a structural strength that earns Battenlok HS a UL Class 90 wind uplift rating. 16" Battenlok panels can be curved to provide a 'signature' architectural design.
Dura-Rib is
an economical through-fastened roof system designed for weathertightness. The 36" wide panels feature 1-1/8" high ribs spaced 12" apart and are available in 26 or 24 gauge steel. Panels have a full sidelap configuration for weathertightness and use of a quality sealant during installation can eliminate water migration and air infiltration.
Panels also have a purlin-bearing leg for easier, consistent alignment and fastener placement. The system carries UL Class 90 wind uplift rating.
The Craftsman™ Series is a snap-on batten roof system with panels that offer 12" and 16.5" coverage widths and small, large and high batten configurations. The pan and batten are separate to maximize design flexibility and ease of installation at difficult hip, valley and slope change conditions. Craftsman is a water-shedding system and can be used for roofs and mansard only when installed over a water-proofed solid substructure with a minimum roof slope of 3:12.
