Canadian Metal Buildings traces its roots to 1964, when John Bruzzese founded Armour Steel, initially supplying residential steel. As demand grew, so did the business—expanding into commercial and industrial projects, becoming a trusted name in the industry.
Justin Bruzzese officially joined Armour Steel in 2002, after years of part-time work in the family business. In 2015, driven by a vision to do things differently, he launched Canadian Metal Buildings with just a trailer and a plan. Early on, CMB focused on structural steel and metal building systems, but Justin quickly recognized recurring issues with existing pre-engineered building designs—systems built for manufacturing efficiency but often difficult to install.
After seeing little change from other manufacturers, Justin partnered with his father to merge manufacturing and installation under one roof. The goal: simplify the entire process, from design to build, making it faster, more efficient, and more installer-friendly—without compromising quality.
With 60 years of steel fabrication experience, including 15 years as builders for our current competitors, we bring unmatched industry expertise. Our hands-on knowledge and commitment enable us to provide customized, efficient, and reliable building solutions tailored to meet your specific needs.

This six-decade foundation informs every aspect of our operations—from the way we design, to how we fabricate and finish each structure.
At the heart of our production line are state-of-the-art AGT robotic machines and advanced laser cutters, enabling us to fabricate complex steel components with exceptional accuracy and consistency. These technologies, paired with decades of hard-earned industry knowledge, allow for faster turnaround times and superior quality control, ensuring that every part meets the highest standards.
In addition to our automated systems, our team brings a combined wealth of generational craftsmanship to the table. Many of our skilled welders and fabricators have honed their techniques over decades, passing down expertise through the years. Their hands-on experience gives us the edge in delivering strong, reliable steel structures tailored to a wide range of applications. Beyond standard frames, we excel in custom fabrication—including precision bending and shaping of steel into Z girts and C girts—to meet specific structural requirements.
