Uhaul - Ubox London
CMB delivered a 22,000 sq. ft., 46-foot-tall U-Haul storage facility in London, ON, featuring IMP walls and an SSR roof. Completed Oct Mar 2024, the project overcame winter delays, achieved cost savings, and benefited from CMB’s long-standing partnership with U-Haul.
Canadian Metal Buildings (CMB) partnered with U-Haul to design and deliver a 22,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) in London, Ontario, for the commercial storage of U-Haul’s U-Boxes. Featuring a 46-foot height for vertical stacking, an insulated metal panel (IMP) wall assembly with vertical and horizontal accents, and a standing seam roof (SSR) on a single-slope design, the project combined durability, efficiency, and functionality. CMB manufactured the primary and secondary structural steel and handled the full installation, overcoming winter weather delays through careful scheduling. Completed from manufacturing in October 2023 to installation in March 2024, the project provided U-Haul with cost savings, a fast-tracked timeline, and streamlined engineering processes. As an authorized builder with a national account, CMB’s established partnership with U-Haul across Canada and the U.S. ensured consistent quality, value-engineered solutions, and seamless project management from design to completion.
