Building a metal structure can be complex — we simplify the process and serve as your single point of contact from start to finish. Our Hybrid Structures by CMB combine standard steel beams with Cold Form Steel framing for strength, speed, and shorter lead times on spans from 20’ to 120’. Whether you need a pre-configured design or a custom solution, we’ve got you covered. Our innovations make steel assembly faster, easier, and more precise. With a dedicated design and estimating team, we tailor each project to your needs and ensure on-time delivery. For larger buildings, we also offer engineered Tapered Frame Steel systems.

CMB controls the entire manufacturing process—from heavy steel to cold-formed girts, purlins, plates, trim, roofing, and sheathing. By eliminating middlemen, we offer faster lead times, greater flexibility, and consistent, high-quality products. With in-house production and integrated paint lines, we ensure everything meets our exact standards.

CONFIGURE AND PRICE
We begin with your client’s unique design criteria; size, application, code compliance, snow/wind loads, and more. Our design/ engineering and estimating teams input the data into our proprietary design platforms to develop an accurate building configuration. You’ll receive a detailed proposal along with preliminary structural drawings for initial review. We are 100% transparent in pricing; no hidden fees, no surprises.

ORDER SUBMISSION
Once the proposal is accepted:

Your Territory Sales Manager places the order with internal operations.

Our Director of Sales initiates onboarding, assigning a CMB Job Number and a dedicated Project Manager to your file.
This ensures alignment, ownership, and a clear point of contact moving forward.

SET THE PLAN
Your dedicated Project Manager establishes a clear Project Roadmap, outlining expected durations for: Final Engineering, Detailing, and Manufacturing. At this point, your project is officially slotted into our manufacturing schedule and communicated to your firm. You’ll also gain access to our secure Builder Portal, where you can:

View the interactive VR/AR model for design clarity and client walk throughs

Track your project status in real time, with visibility into which phase your project is currently in.

This level ensures both you and your client have transparency, control, and collaborative access to every stage of the process.
Note: Delays in approval drawing sign-off during Stage 4 may result in your manufacturing time slot being rescheduled based on our active production queue.

ENGINEERING & DESIGN
Our PM and design teams will guide you through the approval drawing process, refining every structural and functional element of the building to your client’s satisfaction.

Once drawings are signed off, we move into the final detailing stages for shop drawing

creation and issued for construction drawings for fabrication.

If revisions are required, they are handled promptly at this stage.

Your PM will reconfirm your tentative shipping week based on our livemanufacturing calendar.

SIGN OFF
At CMB, a project isn’t truly complete until you, the builder, are fully satisfied. Once your project is closed out, we conduct a wrap-up review to ensure all went smoothly.
With your permission, we love to showcase your completed project across our network and media platforms. We invite feedback to help us continuously improve, and remain available for post-construction support should anything arise.
