Canadian Metal Buildings Charity Golf Tournament Recap: Golfing for CityKidz

Just last week, the Canadian Metal Buildings community gathered at MontHill Golf and Country Club for our CMB Charity Golf Tournament in support of CityKidz. It was a full day of golf, connection, and purpose, with customers, partners, and friends coming together around a cause that matters in our region.

At CMB, we build pre-engineered steel buildings that are designed and manufactured to perform in Canadian conditions. Events like this are another way we show up locally and invest in the communities where our people and partners live and work.

A smooth tournament day from start to finish

The format kept the day moving and kept the energy up:

  • Registration in the morning with welcome packages and tournament materials

  • A shotgun start that got everyone on the course and into the round on time

  • A dinner reception to close out the day with prizes, stories, and plenty of laughs

On-course contests that brought out the fun

A great charity golf tournament is more than a scorecard. This year’s event featured fan favourites like a putting contest, closest-to-the-pin, and a hole-in-one challenge, plus additional contests that kept teams talking from tee to green.

Why we support CityKidz

CityKidz began in Hamilton and has grown into programs serving thousands of children and youth through stable relationships and support. Their work helps kids feel valued and cared for through programming that stays with them as they grow.

That is why this tournament matters to us. When our network comes together for a day like this, it creates impact that extends well beyond the course.

Thank you to our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers

To everyone who sponsored, donated, registered a team, and volunteered behind the scenes, thank you. Your support is what turns a great day of golf into real help for kids and families, and it is appreciated more than we can say.
