Cannabis Production

Designed for one of Canada's leading cannabis producers, this custom steel building was engineered to support production, operational efficiency, and long-term growth in a rapidly evolving industry

As legalization reshaped the market, producers were challenged to build facilities capable of meeting increasing demand while adapting to an industry that was still defining itself. Every investment needed to balance today's production needs with tomorrow's unknowns.

For Redecan, flexibility became just as important as capacity. The building had to support specialized production environments, accommodate future equipment, and provide a layout that could evolve as the business continued to grow. Rather than designing for a single moment in time, the facility was envisioned as a long-term asset capable of adapting alongside one of Canada's newest industries.

cmb solution

Unlike many industrial projects where equipment is added after construction, this facility was planned around the production process itself. Open interior spaces allowed operations to flow efficiently while giving the owner the freedom to reconfigure production areas as technologies and manufacturing requirements evolved.

Flexibility became one of the building's greatest strengths. Large unobstructed spans reduced structural limitations, creating adaptable spaces that could support changing workflows without major modifications. This approach gave Redecan the ability to respond to an industry where growth, innovation, and change were happening faster than ever before.

Industries built on innovation demand facilities that can evolve just as quickly. By creating adaptable production space from the outset, Redecan gained the flexibility to respond to changing technologies, operational requirements, and increasing demand without being constrained by the building itself.

The finished facility became more than a manufacturing space. It provided the confidence to continue investing in the business, knowing the infrastructure was designed to evolve alongside one of Canada's fastest-changing industries.
